New Director of Golf, Alastair Spink, is the County Development Officer for the Suffolk Golf Partnership, a Junior Academy coach for the Suffolk Golf Union and one of Suffolk’s most respected professionals. Alastair previously spent two years at Fynn Valley before joining Hintlesham for 17 years and was latterly attached to Felixstowe Golf Range. We are very pleased to welcome Alastair on board and look forward to working with him towards exciting future developments at the Club.
Head Professional Simon Dainty has been with Fynn Valley since joining as assistant in 2001 and working his way up. Simon is an excellent coach and popular member of staff, as well as enjoying successes at East Region PGA events. Simon is an expert at custom-fitting golf clubs to suit your game. No one has ever been disappointed! He can provide you with quotes for all makes of golf equipment. He is brilliant with Juniors and runs our Junior Academy. Simon organises events at the Club, such as the East Region Pro-Am in September. He is also currently unbeaten in the Club's 'Beat the Pro' Fundraisers!
PGA Assistant Professional Chris Smith joined Fynn Valley as a junior in 2000. A very popular member of the Club, he went on to become a regular in the Suffolk County 1st Team and represented Fynn Valley in all the major county events. Chris turned professional in 2009 and looks forward to progressing his career at Fynn Valley under the guidance of Alastair and Simon.
