Membership of Fynn Valley
Fynn Valley is very much run for its members and the committee play an active part in the Club's decision making.
We have an innovative sliding scale of membership fees designed to encourage those under 40 to join the club and get involved.
When you join the Club as a full member you can enjoy the following benefits of Club membership:
· Free use of the Par 3 Nine Hole Course and Main Course, no need to book a tee time.
· Discounted Members’ prices at the Driving Range for buckets of balls.
· 7.5% discount on accessories and 10% discount on golf bags, clubs, clothing and shoes in both golf shops (spend over £10).
· Official internationally recognised EGU handicap.
· The opportunity to play in club, inter-club, county and national competitions.
· The option of signing in up to three visitors at any one time, as frequently as you wish. These visitors will pay a guest rate green fee.
· Discounts on golf lessons.
· The opportunity to buy a Suffolk Golf Union County Card at a cost of £15 which allows 50% discount on a day’s green fee at most Clubs in Suffolk, Norfolk & Essex. These are exclusively available to members of golf clubs.
· Access to the members' section of the Fynn Valley Web Site and exclusive member only offers via email.
· A minimum 10% discount (maximum 15% discount) on all drinks and meals when paying with your swipe card.
· 50% off selected bar meals when the course is closed due to inclement weather (between 12.00pm & 2.00pm only).

· Become part of the active and friendly Social side of the Club, join in with one of the member groups and take part in member events.

Membership Information
Par Three Membership
Par Three Membership of Fynn Valley Golf Club is ideal for the golfer who enjoys the nine-hole course, but can also be used as a stepping-stone to becoming a full member of Fynn Valley Golf Club. The cost is £275.00 per year with the same increments of age discount as Full Membership, to a minimum of 40% of the subscription.
Par Three Membership offers:-
- Reduced range ball prices
- Unlimited free use of the Par Three Course
- A Par Three Handicap (hand in 3 scorecards)
- Sign in up to 3 guests at a time for £3.50 each
- Members’ monthly competitions (mid-week and weekends for ladies, gents and juniors)
- Par Three Club Championship in August. (May only be entered if you have played in 2 or more par three competitions.)
- A minimum 10% discount (maximum 15% discount) on all drinks and Sunday lunch, restaurant and bar snack menus when paying with your swipe card (optional).

Full Adult Membership
There is no joining fee at Fynn Valley Golf Club and our year begins on 1st May and cannot be cancelled before 30th April the subsequent year. Full adult membership fees for 2011/2012 are as follows:-
If you are over 40 years of age on 1st January 2011 the annual subscription is £630.00 for both men and ladies, English & Suffolk Golf Union subscriptions are £11.00 (Gentlemen) and £17.50 (Ladies), plus bar levy of £40.00, and Insurance £1.50, bringing the total to £682.50 for men and £689.00 for ladies. (Golf union subscriptions are exclusive of VAT).
If you are aged 35 to 39 on 1st January 2011 the fees are 80% of the above subscription plus bar levy, union fees & insurance, a total of £556.50 for men and £563.00 for ladies.
If you are aged 30 to 34 on1st January 2011 the fees are 60% of the above subscription plus bar levy, union fees & insurance, a total of £430.50 for men and £437.00 for ladies.
If you are aged 25 to 29 on1st January 2011 the fees are 40% of the above subscription plus bar levy, union fees & insurance, a total of £304.50 for men and £311.00 for ladies.
If you are aged 18 to 24 on1st January 2011 the fees are 20% of the above subscription plus £25 bar levy, union fees & insurance, a total of £163.50 for men and £170.00 for ladies.
Bar Levy & Swipe Card: This fee is added to a card for use in the bar and restaurant within the membership year. You may top your card up over the bar at any time. Any member of bar staff can answer questions about this.
A Direct Debit payment option is available allowing you to spread the cost by paying monthly. Please ask for further details and a direct debit form.
Cowslip Course Membership
This is an exciting shortened course layout using Fynn Valley’s existing Main Course - the “Cowslip Course”. The yardage of the course is 4,261 (holes 1-9 measure 1,986 yards & holes 1-10 are 2,275 yards), with a par of 71. The Cowslip Course option is clearly marked on each of the holes.
Cowslip Membership is aimed at those who are looking to advance their golfing experience with the ambition of becoming a full member of the main course in the future. Membership will be granted to those who demonstrate to one of Fynn Valley’s Golf Professionals that the above criteria can be achieved. You can upgrade to full membership (subject to playing 9 holes with a committee member) at any time using any outstanding credit you have left from your current membership.
The idea is to provide a ‘stepping stone’ for intermediate golfers to move up from the Par 3 Nine Hole Course to the Main Course. Playing the Cowslip Course will only be permitted after 1.00pm Monday-Friday and on Sundays. Play will be permitted on Saturdays after 4.00pm (winter times are 12 noon and 2.00pm respectively). Full members and those playing the Main Course will always have priority over those using the Cowslip Course.
Before your application can be accepted, our Professional staff will invite you to play 9 holes on the Par Three Course to assess your level of play and knowledge of the game. The cost of membership from 1st May will be £375.00 with the same increments of age discount as Full Membership, to a minimum of 40% of the subscription.
Cowslip Course Membership Offers:
- Unlimited free use of the Cowslip Course after 1.00pm daily excluding Saturdays which will only be available after 4.00pm, and selected times where a competition on the Main Course will have priority.
- Unlimited free use of the Par Three Course.
- Reduced fees if playing the full eighteen hole course - £12.00 for 9 holes & £16.00 for 18 holes Monday–Friday and £15.00 for 9 holes & £20.00 for 18 holes at weekends and Bank Holidays.
- You may sign in a maximum of three guests at any one time on any of the courses you wish to play at a cost of: £3.50 for the Par 3 Course. £10.00 for 9 holes & £15.00 for 18 holes on the Cowslip Course. £12.00 for 9 holes & £16.00 for 18 holes on the Full Course, Monday–Friday and £15.00 for 9 holes & £20.00 for 18 holes at weekends and Bank Holidays.
- A Cowslip Course handicap - not recognised by the English Golf Union.
- Cowslip Course Members’ monthly competitions and special competitions with Full Members.
- A minimum 10% discount (maximum 15% discount) on all drinks and Sunday lunch, restaurant and bar snack menus when paying with your swipe card (optional).
- Discounts on golf lessons.
- Members’ prices at the Driving Range for buckets of balls.
- 50% off selected bar meals between midday & 2pm when the main course is closed due to inclement weather.

Junior Membership
Fynn Valley has a thriving and popular Junior Section and invests much time and funding into developing their standards of Junior Golf. The Club was one of the first in the County to have their achievements recognised with a GolfMark Award from Sport England.
Current England player Hugo Dobson and Former England player, Jamie Abbott, are members of Fynn Valley and a testament to what can be achieved.
